Subject: Immediate Opportunity to Support Montana's Economy: Climate Pollution Reduction Grant Deadline March 31

March __, 2023

Dear <Title and Name>:

I am <name> , a supporter of  Big Sky Sustainability Network Organization (SNO). I encourage the State of Montana to submit a Notice of Intent to Participate (NOIP) in the EPA’s Climate Pollution Reduction Grants (CPRG) Program by the March 31, 2023 deadline, followed by applications and work plans a month later on April 28, 2023.

SNO recently published the Big Sky Community Climate Action Plan (CAP) with the goal of net zero emissions by 2050. Big Sky and other Montana communities would greatly benefit from these funds for implementation. This funding opportunity will '“support the development and deployment of technologies and solutions that will reduce greenhouse gasses and harmful air pollution, as well as transition America to a clean energy economy that benefits all Americans.”

If we don’t submit an NOIP, Montana forfeits $3 million of guaranteed funds, and access to $38.8 billion of subsequent funds.

Please contact me if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

[Your Name]
